Meet Danielle Parmenter, US Education and Relations Coordinator
Danielle Parmenter is the U.S. Clinical Education and Relations Coordinator at Spex, based in Denver, Colorado. In this role, she supports educational initiatives, partnerships, and clinician training across the United States—helping teams translate complex rehab needs into practical, confidence-building solutions.
A licensed occupational therapist, Danielle brings a strong clinical foundation in neurorehabilitation, with experience supporting individuals with spinal cord injury, brain injury, and stroke. Her path into rehabilitation technology was shaped by direct patient care and a simple, powerful insight: the right equipment—paired with the right education—can dramatically improve independence, confidence, and quality of life. She now brings that same patient-centered mindset to clinician education, focusing on best practices and real-world application.
With more than 14 years of experience spanning neurorehabilitation, assistive technology, mobility, and clinician education, Danielle has worked across inpatient rehab, interdisciplinary community-based care, and rehab technology. Most recently, she served as a Clinical Trainer and Product Specialist at Myomo, supporting clinicians and patients nationwide with advanced myoelectric orthotic technology. She has also held occupational therapy roles at Craig Hospital, InnovAge PACE, and Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital. Her areas of expertise include clinical education, complex rehabilitation technology, power mobility, durable medical equipment prescription, clinician training, low vision services, and program development.
Danielle is especially energized to join Spex because of the company’s commitment to raising the standard of education in rehabilitation technology. She’s passionate about “creating a spark” through education—encouraging critical thinking and clinical reasoning rather than simply teaching a product or process. In her new role, she’s looking forward to continuing to grow Spex Academy programming and developing leadership cohort initiatives that help support the next generation of clinicians.
Known for being detail-oriented, analytical, and highly collaborative, Danielle takes a thorough, team-first approach—listening closely, asking the right clinical questions, and working alongside customers and partners to problem-solve and identify practical next steps. Outside of work, she loves exploring Colorado’s outdoors, staying active, and traveling—anything that gets her outside and experiencing something new.
